The short version

QBS is built on the idea that your data is yours. The product itself runs on your own machine or server - we don't collect your accounting data. This policy covers only the information you send us through this website.

What we collect

When you submit the contact form, we collect the name, email, optional company, audience, interest, and message you provide. If you apply for the pilot program, we also collect the business, accounting-system, workflow, installation, scheduling, and pilot-preference information you enter. We store these submissions on our own server - not a third-party marketing platform.

How we use it

We use your information solely to respond to your inquiry, evaluate pilot fit, arrange approved pilot participation, or help you set up or purchase QBS. We don't sell your information, and we don't send marketing email you didn't ask for.

Your accounting data

If you self-host QBS, your books stay entirely on your hardware and never reach us. If you choose a hosted instance, your data lives on a private instance we operate for you, and you can export it at any time.

Do not submit accounting records, passwords, customer information, bank exports, receipts, payroll information, or other financial data through the contact or pilot application forms. Pilot data is handled only after approval and separate written authorization.

Retention

We keep contact-form submissions only as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting relationship. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
